  1. Basil Ocimum basilicum First cut in 6 weeks. Pinch above a node. Keep above 18°C.
  2. Beetroot Beta vulgaris 8 weeks to a root. Leaves cook like chard. 20 cm of loose compost.
  3. Broccoli Brassica oleracea var. italica Microgreen harvest in 8–12 days. Uncover after 48 hours.
  4. Carrot Daucus carota Nantes in 10 weeks. Sow 2 cm. Do not transplant.
  5. Chives Allium schoenoprasum Perennial tuft. First cut at 8 weeks. Cut above the white.
  6. Coriander Coriandrum sativum Leaf in 5 weeks. Sow a new pot every 3 weeks or it bolts.
  7. Cress Lepidium sativum Garden cress in 5–10 days. Surface sow. Not watercress.
