The shop, explained
Halo Grow Lamp
kit-scale circular LED
Halo Grow Lamp is a kit-scale circular LED for a Homestead Hub stack: a black ring on a gooseneck, mild warm-white light, USB power, four-button controller, UK adapter. £29.99. The Homestead Hub distributes the fixture; it does not brand or manufacture the electrics. Not packed inside Three by Four or Four by Four.
The lamp
Live on the shop as Halo Grow Lamp. One lamp, one price. Sized for a full kit stack, sold as its own Range page. In the box: the lamp, a USB lead, an inline four-button controller, and a UK three-pin adapter.
What makes a grow lamp
A lamp becomes a grow lamp when it is specified for plant work: a spectrum that overlaps photosynthetically active radiation, a photoperiod you can run, and a placement that actually reaches the canopy. A warm bulb in a living room is not that, even if a basil plant sits near it. A horticultural fixture with a published PPFD map is the other end of the scale.
Halo sits in the middle: a circular LED sold as kit-scale fill light for a Homestead Hub stack, mild warm-white, USB-powered. Seed treatises on this wick say six to eight hours of light. That is a growing instruction, not a laboratory rating of this ring.
Light, briefly
Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) is the waveband plants use for photosynthesis, conventionally 400–700 nanometres. Photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) is how many of those photons land on a square metre per second. Photoperiod is how long the lamp is on. McCree and later photobiology treat the waveband as a plant-physics fact, not a marketing colour name.
THH has not published a PPFD map, a spectrum plot, or a yield trial for Halo. This page will not invent one. If a study is added later, it will be named here with a link. Until then the honest sentence is: this is a kit-scale warm-white ring we distribute; the crop pages tell you to give the plant hours of light.
What THH does
The Homestead Hub is the shop. It sizes a lamp to the stack and sells it. It does not brand the electrics and it is not the manufacturer. Model choice on the supply side has been a distributor decision, not a THH-designed driver. That is why this treatise does not read like a lighting white paper.
Questions
Is Halo included in the kits?
No. Three by Four and Four by Four do not pack the lamp. Halo is its own page at £29.99.
Does THH manufacture the lamp?
No. THH distributes an unbranded fixture. It does not brand the electrics.
What is the PPFD of Halo?
Not published. Do not treat a missing map as a number.
